September 15th, 2019 Homecoming Anniversary Celebration
The year was 1729, our mother church--St. Paul’s Parish in Hanover sent some missionaries Southwest to begin construction on what was planned to be the largest building in the county. It would be called Slash Church. That was 290 years ago.
290 years later we celebrated that anniversary on September 15, 2019 along with the 177th Homecoming of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) meeting here. What a glorious day in celebration and worship of God who has blessed us continuously these nearly 300 years. We want to say thank you to Anniversary Committee, Membership Committee, to all the volunteers who participated in the work days, as well as all who brought food and were here for our celebration on Sunday. |
