Lent and Easter 2023
"The Gospel of John: So That You May Believe" As we travel through the 40 days of lent leading up to Easter, we will focus on the Gospel of John in all our worship services. John is different from the other Gospels in significant ways. More than any of the other gospels, John is a spiritual and theological commentary on Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection. In Matthew, Mark, and Luke Jesus calls on people to follow him, while in John, Jesus calls people to believe in him. For that reason, the sermon Series is called the Gospel of John: So That You May Believe. It is our prayer that Lent will be a season of spiritual growth and life-changing renewal for us all. |
