"Spring Training"
Why am I thinking about baseball during Lent, you might ask?
Because Lent is "Spring Training for Christians." We are asked to report for Ash Wednesday Worship, February 26th at 7 p.m. and I don't want any holdouts this spring.
I am letting you know this ahead of time so that you will finish your negotiations and sign the contract that the management sent you. It does have some tough clauses. Your contract from the owner requires you to practice your Christian faith.
My hope is that just like a baseball player practices hitting, catching and fielding to improve his or her game, we can improve our spiritual game by reading scripture, meditating, worshiping, praying, giving and serving. 
Join us and let the owner know that you are ready to practice next time you speak (pray).
